Happening at Field Trip

Indigo Dyeing workshop last summer

Indigo Dyeing workshop last summer

Field Trip is turning ONE very soon! It's hard to believe that a whole year has flown by since opening our doors last summer. What an incredible ride! Thank you for all the support and for being a part of this journey. As we continue on our mission of connecting teachers, healers, makers and students, we will continue to offer workshops and events that engage, inspire and support this incredible community. We are so grateful for all the teachers, speakers, tarot readers, healers, artists and makers that have shared their gifts and talents with us and with our growing Field Trip family over the course of this first year. Thank you!

As always, we encourage everyone to stop in and try a workshop that intrigues or inspires them! All skill levels are welcome, bring ya friends! We have lots of exciting things planned for the summer so stay tuned via the mailing list or check us out here

Take a peek at some of our workshops over the past year and what people have to say!

Face Oil Workshop

Face Oil Workshop

I’ve taken a handful of classes at Field Trip and they have always been a great time! Kara is often there for classes and makes everyone that walks in feel welcome. The class supplies are always arranged beautifully beforehand and often drinks and small snacks are an added bonus. All the instructors I’ve met have been passionate about teaching as well as patient, making sure everyone is engaged and moving forward at whatever pace is comfortable to them. The classes are intimate enough that even if every student starts out strangers by the end of the night everyone is conversing and enjoying the crafty company. I’ve never left a class feeling disappointed or that my time or money was not well spent.

The class was amazing! And so inspiring. After learning 3 knots, the instructor just let us do our thing, answered questions, and let us create. Since then I’ve taken up macrame, and taught some friends how to do it as well! Great fun all around.

Macrame with Little Feral — I loved this class. I do (shamefully!) little creative work, and taking two hours to learn a new craft was so lovely. Kaysie was so approachable and genuinely enthusiastic about teaching and sharing her work. It was a perfect balance of hands-on technique training and encouragement to do our own thing. I came away with a piece I liked so much that it hangs over my bed at home.

Dreamcatcher workshop with Tracy* Talley

Dreamcatcher workshop with Tracy* Talley

I really enjoyed the dream catcher class that I participated in! It was so great to get more information about the materials and technique of creating this item but also the meaning behind the elements that are commonly incorporated. I was really happy with how mine turned out and feel like I have enough knowledge from that short session to keep creating. The atmosphere that you created was so relaxing and enjoyable, and it was great to be able to shop when we were finished :) This is such a great activity to do with friends for something different, but I could also see myself going solo and feeling comfortable. I will definitely be back again for future classes!

I took the Yarn Wall Hanging class and had a wonderful time! The instructor was helpful and provided the perfect level of guidance while also allowing us to be creative and have fun. I found the environment great for spending time with my friends and meeting new people. I look forward to taking more classes in the future!
