Meditating Faces by Ben Kinde

"Meditating Faces" is a series of ink paintings exploring the internal process of awakening that occurs through sitting meditation.  The dharma teaches that emotions are born and die, several times over, being seen as a singular uncontrolled flow.  However in sitting with this flow, one can experience each unique emotion as a living and dying energy. Portland based Kinde draws his inspiration, from his own personal journey of sitting meditation, as well as the relationships and teachings he has gathered from shamanic, creative, and traditional practices.    "Meditating Faces" will be on view at Field Trip this month, come by and check it out.
